Mrs. Repede's Ks were learning about ways to make 5 in math class today. We have creative thinkers in Kindergarten!
Mrs. Leisinger's sister joined her 4th grade class as they were studying the human heart in Wit & Wisdom today. Mrs. L's sister is a cardiatric nurse and taught the class about the anatomy of the heart.
It was a beautiful day to play with friends on our Folwell playground!
We gathered for our September assembly today and our kids SOARed! This month's focus is S for Safety. We reviewed ways to be safe at school, including our safety practice drills. Mrs. Evans Hanson taught us the 54321 strategy for when we feel nervous or anxious. We also honored one student from each class with the Above & Beyond award. Way to SOAR, Folwell students!

Yesterday we held our first Folwell Falcon Google Meets of the year to celebrate students SOARing at school. Student earned 377 Falcon Flyers since school started! We also honored Mrs. Repede's Ks with the special area Wings Award and Mrs. Coffings and Mr. Olson's 5th graders for the highest attendance classes this week. So proud of our Falcons!
Reminder: there is no school on Friday, September 4, for all schools except Longfellow Elementary, which will have a regular school day. Additionally, there will be no school, and RPS offices and buildings will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Our last day of school tradition is to clap out our 5th graders - such a special event. Our Folwell students line the playground, clapping and cheering for the 5th graders!

We honored our 5th graders at our 5th Grade Recognition yesterday. We are so proud of them and know that they will do amazing things in the future!
We exceeded our school goal of earning 1500 Finishing Strong tickets in the last 6 weeks, so today we celebrated by playing All School BINGO! Students with BINGOs earned books to boost their summer reading. Way to SOAR, Falcons!
Our Kinders sang their hearts out at our K Sing. Then they shared their Kindergarten memory boxes with their families. We were so proud of them-such sweet end of year moments for our school community!
