Our Kinders sang their hearts out at our K Sing. Then they shared their Kindergarten memory boxes with their families. We were so proud of them-such sweet end of year moments for our school community!

Our Folwell 5th graders competed in the All City 5th Grade Track & Field Day! Way to represent our school!





This week the 2036 Mayo grads who attended Folwell came to celebrate with us. They walked the halls of our school one last time as our Falcons cheered them on. Such a special day for our school community!





Thank you, Folwell PTSA, for a great carnival. Kids and families had such a fun night until the rain started. Thank you to everyone who took part in the fun! We love our school community!










Ms. Sorum's 4th grade class is the first class at Folwell to complete all their Xello missions and earned the Let's Xello-Brate Award. We have a building goal for all our 3rd-5th graders to complete their Xello missions by the end of the year. These missions help our students to explore their.strengths and interests while also learning about careers. Great work, 4th graders, Ms. Sorum, and Mrs. Evans Hanson!

We are finishing strong to the end of the year at Folwell! students earned 266 finishing strong tickets this week, making our total 1,007.

In honor of National Chicken Dance Day, we enjoyed a moment of chicken dancing at 1:00 today. The fun and silly things we do in an elementary school-thank you Ms. Jodi for keeping us smiling!




Today was Silent Day in Mr. Olson's classroom. His 5th graders plan and lead the full day of teaching and learning while Mr. Olson remained silent. Our 5th graders were empowered and had an amazing day!


Mrs. Mueller's 2nd graders have been raising Pink Lady butterflies and learning about their life cycle. This week it was time to spread their wings. Enjoy some pics of the class releasing their butterflies.




We held our last assembly of our school year this week. We showed gratitude for our student council leaders, school patrol, math master teams and our 5th grade & K buddies. We also recognized our May Above & Beyond award winners. We challenged our Falcons to Finish Strong to the end of the year. Keep SOARing, Falcons!



Congratulations to our May 8th Falcon Flyer drawing winners, Mrs. Howes's 3rd graders winning the Special Area Wings award, and Mrs. Pearson's 3fd graders earning the SOARing Attendance award. Way to go Falcons!



Mrs. Coffing's 5th graders have been penpals with the Shorewood Retired Teachers Club all year. Last week our 5th graders visited their penpals and they had an amazing time together! They have formed such special multi-generational relationships with one another.






It's our annual 5th grade v staff basketball game day - what a great night! 5th graders win 42 to 39. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our school and the 5th grade Eagle Bluff trip.










Happy Principals Day! Our Folwell staff and students surprised Mrs. Smith throughout the day with cards, flowers, gifts, and appreciation. Thx Folwell-I love being your principal!






Here are this week's students honored during our Friday Google meets. Congratulations to our Falcon Flyer winners, Mr. Olson's class Wings award, and our two SOARing Attendance classes-Mrs. Affeldt's Ks and Mr. Olson's 5th graders.



Our 4th graders visited the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul yesterday. Our kids especially loved the iron mining, build a bison, and tornado room exhibits as they made history come to life.

Children's author Coach Sloth visited Folwell this morning! He shared some of his books along with where he gets his ideas and inspiration - from the people and experiences from his life. Kids even acted out his Hank the Bully book-so fun!
