Folwell students earned 1,546 kindness tickets in February in honor of Kindness month. Here are this week's Kindness Ticket winners, Mrs. Lewis's 1st grders earned the special area Wings award, and Mrs. Pearson's 3rd graders earned our SOARing Attendance award. We had a great last week of February at Folwell!
Our 5th graders wrote essays for Hormel's MLK essay challenge. Harold from Hormel visited Folwell to present about MLK and announce our top essay writer winners. Our winning writers read their essays to the 5th grade classes. Such inspiring writing!

Middle School music teachers visited our 5th graders. Students learned about their middle school music options of band, orchestra, and choir. Then they trialed different instruments to see what they might want to play next year.

Year #16 is in the books for Folwell’s Freezin’ Falcons!! We love supporting Special Olympics Minnesota each year and the unseasonably warm weather brought out lots of our little Falcon fans! Thanks to everyone who donated…it is much appreciated! See you next year!!
We have a new weekly class award at Folwell and are so proud of our three classes who have earned this so far. It's the SOARing Attendance award for the class with the highest average daily attendance for the week. Mrs. Howes's 3rd graders were our first week's winner, Mrs. Miller's 4th graders won the second week, and Mrs. Strain's 1st graders won the third week. Keep SOARing by coming to school regularly!
February is Kindness month at Folwell.
Here are our Feb 13th kindness ticket honorees. Mrs. Huddleston's class won two awards, earning the Wings award in specials AND the student council award for the class with the most Polar Plunge donations! Keep SOARing, Folwell Falcons!
Our February all school assembly was all about kindness...what does kindness look like, sound like, and feel like? Students were challenged to surprise someone with a random act of kindness. We highlighted I Love to Read month, Polar Plunge, and school spirit with our school song. We also honored this month's Above & Beyond recipients. Goooooo Falcons!

Our PTSA STEM night was a huge success! Hands-on science projects, time with friends and family, pizza and popcorn...what could be better? Thx Folwell PTSA for such a fun night!
