To help our students flourish, we focus on our value of supporting the whole student. This includes their physical well-being, which is why our nutrition team serves over 16,000 meals every single day. Meeting these basic needs is essential to our mission: to equip every student with the resilience to pursue a fulfilling path. Year #16 is in the books for Folwell’s Freezin’ Falcons!! We love supporting Special Olympics Minnesota each year and the unseasonably warm weather brought out lots of our little Falcon fans! Thanks to everyone who donated…it is much appreciated! See you next year!!

We have a new weekly class award at Folwell and are so proud of our three classes who have earned this so far. It's the SOARing Attendance award for the class with the highest average daily attendance for the week. Mrs. Howes's 3rd graders were our first week's winner, Mrs. Miller's 4th graders won the second week, and Mrs. Strain's 1st graders won the third week. Keep SOARing by coming to school regularly!

February is Kindness month at Folwell.
Here are our Feb 13th kindness ticket honorees. Mrs. Huddleston's class won two awards, earning the Wings award in specials AND the student council award for the class with the most Polar Plunge donations! Keep SOARing, Folwell Falcons!

Our February all school assembly was all about kindness...what does kindness look like, sound like, and feel like? Students were challenged to surprise someone with a random act of kindness. We highlighted I Love to Read month, Polar Plunge, and school spirit with our school song. We also honored this month's Above & Beyond recipients. Goooooo Falcons!

For the month of February, we are honoring students who have earned Kindness tickets for showing kindness to others. Here are our Feb 6th Kindness ticket drawing winners and Mrs. Coffing's 5th graders who earned the Wings award for being leaders during specials.

Our PTSA STEM night was a huge success! Hands-on science projects, time with friends and family, pizza and popcorn...what could be better? Thx Folwell PTSA for such a fun night!

Our 2nd graders have been reading and writing about civil rights in their Wit & Wisdom reading lessons. Look at Mrs. Mueller's amazing writers!

Our Falcon Flyer winners from January 30th and Mrs. Strain's 1st graders who earned the Wings award! Way to SOAR, Falcons!

Ms. Sorum's 4th graders had a great discussion in Wit & Wisdom exploring questions around extreme weather and places. Then they began researching topics from a survival handbook for their team projects.

More students who were honored for SOARing at Folwell and Mrs. Nelson's K who earned the Wings Award! So proud of our Falcons!

We talked about SOARing into 2026 at our January assembly and how do we want 2026 to be for us at Folwell. We sang our school song and celebrated our January Above & Beyond students.

Congratulations to our awesome Falcons who SOARed in early January. We honored these Falcon Flyers winners and Mrs. Miller's 4th graders who earned the Wings award. Way to SOAR!
